Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Cor. 5:17
Dear God,
Thank you that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we need you and rely on your presence filling us every single day.
Be with us every step that we take in this new year.

Our Father,
As we enter this new year, we give you thanks for many things, but most of all we thank you for our salvation in Christ Jesus. And our prayer is that many people from our community of Braes will experience this joy in 2024 also. The joy of knowing you.
We look out over our streets and villages and we just see people who need the Lord. May this be the year, Lord, the year of salvation. May there be an awakening in the Braes of people seeking you. This is our prayer and we bring it to you knowing we are praying in your will.
Amen

Thank you, Lord, for the incredible privilege we have of coming before you now.
Thank you, Lord, for the way you have transformed our lives,
and, Lord, thank you for the way you are still in the business of transforming our lives.
Lord, thank you that you choose to do so through us, your people, and therefore through us as your church.
Therefore, our prayer today, Lord, is for you to come and just give your church the strength to go out and be agents of change in our communities.
Lord, we pray that you will give us, your church, wisdom and the spiritual discernment to know how we can best serve our communities, how we can love our communities with your love and see our communities being transformed for the glory of your name.

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for supporting this page and joining in with our prayers
Father God
We thank You for Christmas and the joy that it can bring us. We thank You for Your Son and for his coming down to be one of us and amongst us.
We pray that we would always remember why we celebrate Christmas and not let all the festivities and everything we associate with Christmas overcrowd you or push you to the sidelines
Amen

Lord Jesus,
Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.
We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day.
We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light.
To you we say, βCome Lord Jesus!β

Our Father God,
As Christmas approaches, we pray for the Carol Services about to take place in our Braes churches. We thank you for the poets who wrote the magnificent songs we call carols, we thank you for words that are rich and true and we pray that as we sing them we will draw closer to you.
We pray that every person who joins in these carol services will sing out in worship of you and that the words will really hit home and even change lives. We thank you, Lord Jesus, that you were indeed βborn that man no more may die; born to raise the sons of earth, born to give them second birth.β And so, as we sing as the angels did at that first Christmas, may every person realise what it means to be able to sing those words: βJesus, our Immanuel.β
Amen

Dear Father God,
We read and know that the angels proclaimed the good news that would cause great joy for all the people and that when the Magi approached Bethlehem and saw the star they were overjoyed. As one of yesterday's songs said: "You give us joy nothing else can bring". Thank You that we know and experience this joy, the joy we have from You and through You. May we be full of Your joy and sing with joy today and this week
Amen
